Welcome to Week 4:"Fun in the Son!"

It's been a wonderful month with four great sessions: We made a new start with "A Breath of Fresh Air"; we learned how all women have unique nurturing hearts with "Momma Mia!"; we were encouraged to find and reveal our own individual beauty with "Diamond in the Rough" and we saw that we can have lots of safe fun this summer with "Fun in the Son!". Remember that points will be tallied this week for our May winner and we will begin our June Challenge this Wednesday. If you can't be here on June 2, make sure that you call in your points by 4:00 to Sherri at 256-236-1215. View our session recaps on the left hand side and add some comments. Let's finish strong with our last week of May accountability and make those lifestyle changes that will bring our hearts, souls, minds, and bodies into balance.

Everybody say it now...We're ALL-4-ONE and ONE-4-ALL!

Welcome to Week 3

Hello, Ladies!
We all had a "jewel" of a time at our "Diamond In The Rough" spring make-over night. Marilyn "Jean" entertained us with her rendition of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" and Christy Calhoun's devotion about spiritual and physical make-over tips were inspirational to us all.
Melody Holden accepted my challenge to try out ancient Bible beauty secrets for a 30-Day trial and then report back to us on the results. She received 0ats, milk(powdered), honey, and olive oil. We're all eager to hear how it's going, Melody!
At the end of our meeting we had a fun time at our "treasure swap" and the unchosen items were taken to the Center of Hope by Deborah. Some of us also enjoyed walking around the church with Julie. Next week, we will have lots of..."Fun in the Sun". Wear your "playclothes" and sandals or tennis shoes for some outdoor games. We'll have summer treats and sun safety tips from Julie. Can't wait to see you and bring a friend. Keep on exercising, reaching out, reading/organizing, and spending quiet time with our wonderful Lord...because we're...All 4 One and One 4 All!

Welcome to Week 2

Hello ladies,
Welcome to week 2 of your journey towards a balanced life! Remember to spend some quiet time in prayer and reflection, challenge your mind, reach out in kindness and get your body moving this weekend.

Welcome to our new members! We’re up to 58 now and still growing. Please consider joining.

This next Wednesday meeting, “Diamond In the Rough”, is going to be so much fun! Look for some gently-used treasures (clothes, jewelry, accessories, etc.) for our Treasure Swap at the end of our meeting. If you bring two items you get to choose one new item for yourself; if four items, you get two and so on. The unchosen items will go to the Center of Hope’s women so that they too will get some “new” spring treasures. We will also be sharing some spring makeover tips for your heart, soul, mind and body. Can’t wait to see you and bring a friend! God bless you on your journey, sister!

Day 2 Happy Weekend! May 7, 2010

Good afternoon, Ladies!

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you—you’ll find out how all of us are mothers this Wednesday night at our “Momma Mia!” group meeting. Bring a friend!

To those of you that will be having a hard time this weekend because your child or mom is not here with you anymore, my prayers are with you. Please consider reading the tender words of Isaiah Chapter 61 as part of your quiet time this weekend. Remember that He knows what it’s like to lose a child too.

Do acts of kindness, spend some time with your Lord, read something uplifting, and get your body moving this weekend, sister!

Day 1: May 6, 2010

May 6,2010

Hello ladies, Welcome to Day 1 of your journey to a new you! Are you feeling the breeze of "fresh air" today? This morning in my quiet time I found this verse in Psalms chapter 4:

“Let all those that seek You rejoice and be glad in You: and let such as love Thy salvation say continually,‘Let God be glorified’.”

It just seemed to “leap out” at me after last night. I had a great time and I hope you did too—even though it was mostly “bookkeeping” to get us off to an organized start. I learned something new today—Mental—if you all get this e-mail: How to set up a distribution group. My kind act for today is that I stayed after work today to send this out to all of you and I WILL practice my 5? stretches and walk when I get home. So I’ve earned my four points for today. How about you? Robyn:)
